The Press and Journal piece on historic northern sightings says Gray Street was the location of apparent sightings in both 1968 and 2009. The detail given is limited. In 2009 the observer was a UFO expert, who saw an orange-red light above the houses. The Aberdeen Unidentified Flying Objects Research Group was set up by a local man on 1 April 1969 and its founder said its aim was to find natural explanations where possible while recognising some might be unexplained.
