The Ogston Ghosts of Norwood Hall

Norwood Hall Hotel, Garthdee Road, Cults

Undated

The legend is a triangle. Ogston would not leave his mistress, which made his wife unhappy, and all three are now said to walk the house. Different versions disagree about who is responsible for the haunting. One says the wife walks because of her unhappiness, another says the mistress haunts the stairs because Ogston never left his wife for her.

The About Aberdeen page calls him Colonel James Ogston, while the VisitAberdeenshire summary calls him James Ogston. No witness accounts or dates are given, so this is folklore attached to a hotel.

Norwood Hall is a hotel; access is for guests and diners.
