The Face in the Old Fish Market Fireplace

The Old Fish Market, Baldwin Street, Old City

Photograph taken years before 2026; undated

The Old Fish Market pub on Baldwin Street occupies a former fish market building in the Old City.

John Hughes, who has run the Haunted & Hidden Bristol walking tour for 23 years, told Spooky Isles about two photographs from his tours. One was the Rummer fireplace photo from 2007. The other, taken years earlier, was by a woman photographing the menu board in the Old Fish Market. By chance, a man's face appeared in the fireplace below it. He said this was where an old lift or hoist stood when it was a fish market.

This is a single anecdote about one photograph, with no date and no image published in the source. It is recorded as a thin report.
