The Giants of the Grey Cairns of Camster

Grey Cairns of Camster, near Lybster

Traditional

I could only find this in one modern roundup, which gives no earlier source for the full moon detail. The monuments themselves are covered under the earth mysteries category elsewhere. The giant builder story is a common explanation for large prehistoric stonework.

The cairns are open to visitors on a track from the A99.
