A man driving the road between Corrany and Lewaigue came upon something that was not fog and not an animal: a great black mass, barring the whole way ahead of him. He felt an extreme fear, out of all proportion to what he could see.
He put his foot down and drove at it. As he came close, the black mass lifted off the road and rose up like a cloud, and he passed safely underneath it. Gill had the story from a friend of the driver, and gives no date other than that it was recent.
