The now-demolished building in Downpatrick began as a workhouse, sheltering large numbers of people through the Great Famine. After the First World War it was reused as a leather factory.
During the factory years, staff and locals reported odd sightings. Many said they saw a little girl in Victorian dress crossing the road outside. Others described an old man in a flat cap who often walked through the factory and vanished as he passed straight through a wall. The listing gives no names and no dates.
