This is one of the best documented big cat episodes in Renfrewshire because the police response was reported by BBC Scotland and the Daily Record on 3 and 4 July 2002. The witnesses were several members of staff, and the report came from the hospital rather than from one person.

No animal was found. The location is given as the hospital grounds, and the point here is the town centre because the site is not precisely known.
