Told before 1900

An old man took a Bible with him and made a circle round himself on the road with a dirk, and so met the ghost and questioned it. It confessed to having stolen a ploughshare, soc a chroinn, and told where the hidden iron was to be found. After that the ghost stopped its visits to the earth.
