The big cat that spooked the horses, Cold Blow Crescent, 2007

Cold Blow Crescent, Bexley

Early March 2007

A short newspaper item of 19 March 2007, reproduced on Mysterious Britain, says the Beast of Bexley may have been spotted again, scaring a paddock full of horses. Neil Arnold, founder of Kent Big Cat Research Group, said a black creature was seen about two weeks earlier in Cold Blow Crescent.

An eyewitness saw the horses in a field behind his house appear spooked and bunch together. He claimed that a big black cat with an overly long tail then appeared in the field, stopped, turned around and walked back towards the trees and bushes.

There is no name for the witness and no physical evidence. Arnold's view that it could be a black leopard is the researcher's opinion. The pin is placed on the crescent.
