Spirited Isle describes the phantom puddle of blood: visitors have reported discovering a dark, glistening stain on the cold stone floors of the ruined house, always in the same spot, where a violent event is rumoured to have happened. When they return moments later, it has gone. Visit Causeway Coast and Glens places it in the Mussenden Temple, saying a puddle of fresh blood will appear on the ground inside and evaporate as quickly.
Spirited Isle says no official records confirm what the event might have been. The location differs between the two sources and no witnesses are named, so I treat it as a vague local tale.
