The Lynx on the Seventh at Nairn Dunbar, 2000

Seventh green, Nairn Dunbar golf course, beside the Moray Firth

Early September 2000; reported 6 September 2000

The archive notes that John Cathcart, who had researched Highland big cat reports for at least 21 years, said that when he asked, the witness described a long, thick, curled tail, which is classic puma and not lynx. The identification is therefore in doubt, although the sighting by three people in daylight is one of the better ones.
