The Lost Miners of Apedale

Also known as: Apedale Heritage Centre ghosts

Apedale Heritage Centre, Chesterton, Newcastle-under-Lyme

Undated

Apedale is a former colliery site just outside the village of Chesterton in the borough of Newcastle-under-Lyme, now a heritage centre and mining museum.

Paranormal investigator Damon Simms includes it in his list of the county's most haunted places, saying that as with most mines there were tales of terrible accidents and lives lost, so it is no surprise that there are stories of lost souls walking the long, dark tunnels searching for a way home.

That is all that the source offers. There is no named witness, date or incident, and it is recorded as a very thin single report based on the general reputation of a mining site.
