La Trigale is a small district on the southern edge of St Anne, near the Coronation Inn and the Allée ès Fées. Wells turn up often in Channel Island ghost lore. In Guernsey, the well at Les Adams groaned three times before a death, and the well of St George was surrounded by skeletons one night in 1798.
For the Trigale well, the only source is the podcast episode, which calls itself a hyperbolic retelling of a traditional tale. That suggests there is an older local story behind it, but it has not been found in print.
This is one of the thinnest records on the map and is included to show where an Alderney tradition is said to exist, in the hope that a better source turns up. The map point marks La Trigale.
