The Hansel Walk and the Fairy Piper, Well Cave

Well Cave, East Wemyss

Custom recorded until the 19th century

The fairy piper detail is given without a dated source, and the link to Samhain in the summary is a modern interpretation. The walk itself is a well known local custom, and the carved names still show on the cave wall.

Access is limited; check the Save Wemyss Ancient Caves Society for open days.
