The poltergeist of the Hall House, Weald and Downland museum

Weald and Downland Living Museum, Singleton

Reports undated

The Weald and Downland Living Museum at Singleton gathers historic buildings that were taken down elsewhere and rebuilt on the site. A haunted places directory, citing a submitter, says the shadows of former residents are seen in the halls and a woman is reported to walk from building to building. Poltergeist activity in the hall house is described as very common.

The directory's description says a medieval village once occupied the site, which does not match the museum's origins, since the buildings were moved here from elsewhere. That error suggests the listing is a loose summary and not a careful account. A television programme investigation at the museum was broadcast in 2009, which shows interest in its reputation but proves nothing about the activity.

With only one thin source and no dated incident, this is a single report. The pin is at the museum site.
