The Witches' Walk and Witches' Cave at Abernethy

Hill above Abernethy

Undated tradition; Abernethy had accused in 1662

One tale goes that the witches helped to build the round tower in the village, a structure dated to about AD 1100. Abernethy was one of the eight groups in the 1662 Perthshire hunt, and Wikipedia calls the round tower one of only two surviving Irish-style round towers in Scotland. The paper is careful to say which accounts are local lore and which are archival records.
