This is the second half of the Vanora story told at Meigle, where the queen is buried. In the fuller retelling on Folklore Finder, the abductor Mordred keeps her at Barry Hill before she is recovered. No archaeology supports the Arthurian link, and Boece's history is a Renaissance work that mixes tradition with invention.
