The tinker is said to have cursed the Spaldings as he died, saying the family line would soon end, and the tale adds that the prophecy came true a short time after his death. He is said to haunt the place near where he was hanged, by an avenue of tall trees. The blog's account of the green lady borrows the Lady Jean Drummond story that is told at Ardblair, so the two may have been confused. Wikipedia's own history says the earl of Atholl attacked Andrew Spalding at Ashintully in 1597. The ghost tales have no dates or named witnesses.
