The visibility was good. The cat was completely black, walked low to the ground and had a long curled tail. The spaniel lay quietly on the ground watching it, and the sheep in the fields moved slowly out of its way rather than panicking. It went back over the side of the glen towards the tree line. They reported it to the Dalmunzie hotel owner, who was sceptical but said he would tell his gamekeeper.
