The author remarks that two hundred years earlier a curse could break bones or 'ryve the saull out of ye'. The same kirkyard is linked to John Brughe's ghoulish visit, described in the record on his 1643 trial. The text does not say the curse ever worked, and does not record the exact wording. The pin is at Glendevon village.
