The Spectral Warriors of Harta Corrie

Harta Corrie, below Sgurr nan Gillean, Isle of Skye

Tradition of 1395

The spoils were divided at Creag an Fheannaidh, the Rock of the Flaying, sometimes identified with the Bloody Stone in Harta Corrie below Sgurr nan Gillean. Spooky Scotland says the Bloody Stone was piled with bodies and topped by a rowan tree, and that spectral warriors are seen fighting among the rocks.

The 1395 date and the story come from clan tradition, and the ghost report has no named witness or year.

Remote Cuillin corrie reached on foot from Sligachan.
