The Keillour Sheep Killings, January 2003

Farm at Keillour

Mid January 2003

The farmer and a forestry worker saw an animal come out of nearby woodland the following evening but could not get a clear look. Wildlife officer Allan Stewart said four sheep died with big marks on their throats and scratches, that dog claws are generally blunt and some marks looked as if only a cat could have made them, and that it could not have been a fox. He would not say for sure whether it was a big cat or dogs. Police thought a large cat or dog was to blame.
