Wood gives the stories from local tradition. He adds that the chief witness against her was an elder of the Moor Kirk of Luce, and that she was burned as a witch at Ayr. Ayr is outside Dumfries and Galloway, so only the moor tracks and the kirk are placed here. The pin is a rough estimate for the moor; the source does not fix the tracks to one spot.
