Frost was vicar from 1924 until he died in 1962. According to J.A. Brooks, Ghosts and Witches of the Cotswolds (1992), he collected books and antique clocks. After his death, as Brooks puts it, the books would move about the house by themselves and the clocks would wind themselves. The disturbances reportedly stopped only when the collections were removed.
His ghost is also said to disturb the beds of guests it does not like. A second presence, a ladies maid, is invisible but reported to comb the hair of anyone sitting in a particular chair.
Dark Oxfordshire lists Hippisley Coxe's Haunted Britain, Brooks, the Deddington History website and Mysterious Britain as sources. They give no witness names or dates apart from Frost's years in the post, and the account looks like a single tradition repeated from book to book. It is tagged single report.
