The women listed for 1715 in the paper are Sarah Johnson, Margaret Ogilvy and Elizabeth Murray. Cowan's chapter presents them as banishment cases with a threat of burning if they returned, and says three were executed on the North Inch. The sources do not agree on the charge, and the paper suggests rising tensions in Perth during the Jacobite uprising may have contributed. Treat the witch label as uncertain.
