The Two Quarrelling Brownies of the Glen Eunach Pass

Pass of Glen Eunach below Carn Eilrig, Rothiemurchus

Traditional; recorded about 1900

The writer says the sound of many waters accounted for a good deal of the supernatural belief. The path through Glen Eunach is a long established route. The pair of quarrelling spirits is an unusual feature for brownie lore, which usually gives one brownie to a house.
