Hauntings

The Pedlar in the Grey Plaid

A farmhouse beside a muddy loch, upper Tarbat

Traditional; told by Miller in 1835

The ghost with a fixed term, who tells the living when it will go, is a gentler form of the murder haunting. Miller gives no name for the pedlar, the murderer or the loch.
