Buxton's spa town centre has a handsome set of haunted buildings. Start at Pooles Cavern, then walk into town for the Opera House, the Crescent and the Old Hall Hotel, where Mary, Queen of Scots stayed, and finish at the Devonshire Dome, once the Duke's stables and later a hospital.
