The Fairies of the Barns of Airlie

Barns of Airlie

Undated; probably nineteenth century

The story is a rare case where a fairy explanation was tested and found to have a physical cause. The Airlie area has seven souterrains, the blog says. Souterrains are Iron Age underground chambers.

The cottage has not been identified by name.
