At the farm he tidied anything untidy and hurled around anything that was tidy. People feared him and avoided the road up from the burn at night. A man coming home from the market heard the splashing and called out to him as 'Puddlefoot'. The brownie cried in horror that he had been given a name and vanished, and was never heard again. The exact stream is not located in our sources, so the pin is at Pitlochry.
