In 2017 a woman in Armagh found that her car dashcam had recorded something she could not account for. In the footage a figure in Georgian-style clothing walks across the road and disappears into the wall of the Church of Ireland cathedral. Her granddaughter was quoted as saying the driver was still hyperventilating after seeing it.
The story was picked up by local media because of the street's reputation. Vicar's Hill already had the tale of the Green Lady, a spirit said to have been bottled and bricked into a nearby house. Some commentators wondered whether this was the same ghost in a different form. The figure in the video, however, is described as Georgian, not as a woman in green, so it may be an unrelated apparition, or a trick of the camera and the light.
No analysis of the footage by anyone outside the paranormal community is known.
