The Lady in Grey of Bushmills Distillery

Old Bushmills Distillery, Bushmills

Undated

The Old Bushmills Distillery has been in operation for more than 400 years and welcomes over 120,000 visitors a year. Spirited Isle says it is said to be haunted by the ghost of a lady in grey.

According to a local legend she could be a concerned wife who went looking for her missing husband. Margaret and George lived across from the distillery, and George took the dog for a walk one night and never came back. Margaret never stopped searching for him, even after her own death.

Visitors and staff report cold spots and locked doors being opened by unseen hands.

Visits are by guided tour.
