The sons of Caw are figures from Welsh Arthurian tradition, where Caw of Prydain has several fighting sons, and the identification of battle sites in the old Kingdom of Strathclyde is speculative. The council page does not name its sources. Cambuslang is also linked to St Cadoc, said to have founded an early monastery on the site of the old parish church, which is a separate tradition with a similar level of proof.
