The Corpse on the Flodigarry Supper Table

Flodigarry, Trotternish, Isle of Skye

1703 account

He then told them that when he dropped the knife he had seen a corpse with its shroud on the table in front of him, and that the vision would soon come true. In a few days one of the family died and was laid out on the very same table.

Martin says it was told to him by the master of the family. It is one of many cases he collected from Skye and the neighbouring islands, where seers saw shrouds, funerals and strangers before the events.
