The Fairy Reapers of Flodigarry

Flodigarry, Trotternish, Isle of Skye

Told before 1900

They were seen at work, seven score and fifteen of them, or some other large number. After reaping the field they called for more work, and the man set them to empty the sea.

Campbell gives it as an example of fairy assistance, beside the chief of Duart who sent through Mull for shearers in a hurry.
