The Phantom Funeral at the Ford near Snizort

Two miles north of Snizort church, Isle of Skye (position approximate)

Before 1703

After waiting at the ford and looking all around, they found they had been deceived, for it was only a vision. It surprised them greatly, since neither had seen anything of the second-sight before or after.

They told the neighbours, and two or three weeks later a corpse really did come along that road from a different parish. Martin says burials at Snizort from that parish were very rare and only for people of distinction, so the vision was exactly accomplished.
