The Bald Black Girl Born Behind Gairloch Church

Gairloch Church, Gairloch

Attributed to the 1600s; printed 1877

Mackenzie says the descendants of the child were known in the district and pointed out as the fulfilment of Coinneach's words. He gives several similar prophecies he counts as fulfilled, among them that a white cow would calve in the garden behind Gairloch House.

As with most Seer predictions, the account was collected long after the event and the identity of the family is not given, so it cannot be checked.
