The story is told by the inn and I found no record of the girl or the drowning outside the inn's own account and derived guides. The room-6 experience is a touch report rather than an apparition. Note that the inn also puts a different report in Room 6, of tiny white lights, listed separately.
The River Falloch does run close behind the inn, so the setting fits.
