At the house of a farmer in Llanllechid parish there was, Sikes wrote, "great disturbance by a spirit which threw stones into the house, and from one room to another". The stones hit and hurt the people living there. They were of all sizes, the heaviest weighing twenty-seven pounds, and most of them were river stones from the stream that ran close by the house.
Some clergymen came over from Bangor to read prayers and drive the spirit out. It was not impressed: stones were thrown at them too, and they gave up. In the end the family abandoned the house.
