Nic-ille-mhicheil of Sron-charmaig

Sron-charmaig, Loch Feochan, near Oban

Recorded 1900

On sunny days she was seen basking on a rock called Creag Ghrianach, the Sunny Rock. Fully a year before the old house was pulled down and the present mansion built, she seemed greatly disturbed: her step on the stairs and the noise of chairs and tables being moved was often heard after people had gone to bed. She then set up an unusually loud wailing and left.

Campbell adds that when a poor old woman named Mor on the farm fell sick, the glaistig came to the window and wailed. A woman in green seen trying the cows' udders at the fold, and chased by the herd's dog, was believed to be the same being.
