The Derry Journal describes a weird tale from the late 1960s that made its way into Parade of Phantoms in 1993. A resident of the Glen Estate was driving into Glenbank Road at 5am after collecting a relative from Aldergrove. As he turned into the road he heard indistinct noises and saw two shadowy figures.
The book quotes him: he saw two women in long habits reaching down to their feet. They had laced chains around their necks with amulets about the size of the inside of a saucer. He could not make out their faces, but they had long straight hair down their backs. The man was convinced he had seen the apparition of two women from the Bronze Age.
The period identification is his own conclusion, and the story rests on his report alone.
