The Fairy Cup of the MacLeods of Raasay

Isle of Raasay

Told before 1900

He was offered drink in a fine glittering cup. When he got it in his hands he ran off with it. The fairies let loose one of their dogs after him, and he escaped, hearing them call the dog back by its name, Farvann.

The cup long remained in the possession of the Macleods of Raasay.
