The False Church Cave of East Side

An Eaglais Bhreige, East Side, Isle of Skye (position approximate)

Undated tradition

There is the appearance of an altar beside this church, and he thought the locality accorded well with the alleged rite. He adds a rhyme about Skye septs that makes fun of the M'Quithens as experts in base flattery.

Campbell also quotes an earlier writer, not named in the passage, who says the oracle was consulted only once, in the parish of Kilmartin on the east side, by a wicked and mischievous set of people now extinguished root and branch. The exact cave was not identified on a modern map.

The cave is not located on a modern map.
