Hertford is a compact county town with a surprising number of reported hauntings. The route starts at the White Horse in Hertingfordbury, then moves through the castle grounds and Bull Plain before running along Fore Street to the Corn Exchange, built on the site of a disease-ridden eighteenth century jail.
