The Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park covers more than a hundred acres of gardens, meadows and woodland. Spirited Isle reports that over the years visitors have seen the ghost of a woman with an infant in her arms jumping into the path of vehicles at the entrance on the Upper Malone Road. Shocked drivers slam on their brakes and get out, but find no trace of her or the child.
There are conflicting reports of who she is and why she appears. Some claim that she and her child drowned in the lake across the road. Others believe they were hit by a horse and cart.
