The Mill at Ballydugan was built in 1750, possibly on the site of a mill from as early as the 1200s. It stopped working after a fire in 1856 and stood abandoned for over a century before its current owner began to renovate it. During the restoration he reported odd events. A hand dryer in the bathrooms would switch itself on, even after being replaced. Lights flickered and dimmed in particular rooms without affecting the rest of the building, and a qualified electrician found no fault. Small objects moved from one place to another.
At a public event in 2013, attendees told of the presence of a three-year-old girl named Emily, who is said to have died of tuberculosis at the mill, and of a woman dressed entirely in black often seen in the cellar.
