The Last Macraes and the Black Wherry

Kintail (no place named)

Attributed to the 1600s; printed 1877

The Macraes are to become so scarce that a crippled tailor of the name is in such demand among ladies that a desperate battle breaks out between them and the Maclennans in the district. The result is that a black wherry carries what remains of the Macraes back to Ireland. As soon as they land, they return to Kintail.

Mackenzie says these remain unfulfilled. The version is undated and carries no named informant.
