The High Stone of Uig and the Raven's Feast

The High Stone, Uig, Isle of Skye (position approximate)

Told before 1900

The High Stone is on a mountain's brow, and Campbell says it is ominous of the fulfilment of the prophecy that it has fallen on its side. He gives no source for the saying and no date for the stone's fall.

He notes a similar saying about a high stone at Scaristavore in Harris. This is one of the Skye sayings credited to the same seer whom Alexander Mackenzie later collected as the Brahan Seer.
