The Five Riders Seen Before They Came

North St Mary's parish, Trotternish (place not located)

1703 account

He told his neighbours how strange it was. The very next day he saw the same number of men and horses coming along the road, and was not so quick to go out until he heard them speak, when he found them to be those of his vision. They were Sir Donald MacDonald and his retinue, who had been at a place Martin's text gives as Armadale, nearly forty miles south of Daniel's house, when he saw the vision.

Martin notes that this was the only vision of its kind Daniel ever had.
