Where the Broken Bridge meets the Lurgan Road on the A26 near Lenaderg, outside Banbridge, drivers have described a hooded figure crossing the road in front of them. It is slight in build, like a teenager or a child, and it never looks left or right. It simply walks across and passes through the solid stone wall on the far side.
Local tradition says a young person was struck by a vehicle and killed at this spot many years ago, and some people take the figure to be that victim replaying the moment of death. The account names no witnesses and gives no dates, so it is best read as a local road-ghost tradition.
